About Us

Our Story

Queanbeyan & District Preschool Association (QDPA) is a community based not for profit organisation. The management of QDPA is overseen by the Executive Officer, Ashleigh Daly, and a volunteer Management Committee, who meet each term to discuss and make decisions about the overall operations of the Association.

QDPA is made up of four Preschools – Harris Park Preschool, Karabar Preschool, Waratah Preschool and Mura Preschool, all located within the Queanbeyan region, NSW.  Each Preschool is managed by a Centre Director who is responsible for the day-to-day staffing, educational practice and operation of that service.

Inclusion For All Children & Families

Committed to Inclusion

QDPA prides itself on our strong values and commitment to inclusion across the Association.

Learning & Support Needs

We aim to identify learning and support needs early in the enrolment process to ensure your child's needs are supported.

Embracing Culture

Our region is a highly culturally diverse community and we welcome children and families or all cultures and backgrounds.

QDPA prides itself on our strong values and commitment to inclusion across the Association. It is really important that when submitting the enrolment form, any learning and support needs are identified so that we can plan for any additional staffing or resources to ensure your child’s needs are supported. No child will be turned away for disclosing any learning or support needs.

Through the enrolment process, QDPA can arrange visits with current providers such as long day care or therapists, so that we can understand your child’s needs, and develop plans in consultation with you and any health professionals you are already engaged with.

We recognise that the Queanbeyan region is a highly culturally diverse community, and we also strongly welcome children and families of all cultures and backgrounds. Again, please just let us know if there is any particular supports, we can explore for your child to ensure they feel safe, and can develop a sense of belonging with us. We can arrange an interpreter if you require that service.
